Designing a Calm, Human-Centered Experience for Mental Health Support

Gardin Counseling is a U.S.-based counseling practice offering therapy and educational programs for individuals, couples, families, and parents. While the practice had a strong therapeutic foundation, its digital presence did not fully reflect the warmth, depth, and professionalism of the services offered.

The goal of this project was to deliver a full rebrand and website redesign that felt emotionally safe, approachable, and clear, while supporting users who may arrive feeling vulnerable or overwhelmed. Early UX evaluation highlighted the need to simplify dense content, reduce visual noise, and guide users more gently toward services and next steps.

The redesign focused on empathetic content hierarchy, calming visual language, and clear service pathways. Particular attention was given to accessibility, readability, and trust-building elements, ensuring the experience supported users across personal counseling, couples therapy, family services, and parenting programs.

This project demonstrates how UX/UI design and branding can support mental health services by creating digital experiences that feel supportive, trustworthy, and deeply human.
